Chahinkapa ZooConsidered by many to be the best zoo in North Dakota, the Chahinkapa Zoo is a favorite for tourists and townsfolk alike. The zoo features over 70 species of wildlife and houses over 200 animals. The white tigers, zebras and spider monkeys are among the most popular attractions. In 2010, Chahinkapa will be unveiling an orangutan exhibit, showcasing one of man’s closest cousins in the animal kingdom. |

Bois de SiouxThe Bois de Sioux golf course remains a favorite by regional golfers and offers 18 holes. The front nine is located in Wahpeton and known for its challenging design and scenic views. According to golf.com, the course’s signature #9 is reminiscent of #13 on Augusta National. This 497 yard, par 5 tests any player regardless of skill level. |

Prairie Rose CarouselA landmark and local favorite, the restored Prairie Rose Carousel brings joy to both historians and children. The 20-horse carousel demonstrates Wahpeton’s dedication to history and sense of community. Each horse has been adopted by a local business or organization in order to preserve this slice of Americana. |

Many people take advantage of the 178′ double-loop water slide, swimming facilities, camp grounds and ample picnic shelters.
